Stratagia in the Peak District

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

We’ll be doing a walk of about 5 miles from Alport, through Lathkill and Middleton Dales to Youlgrave where we’ll be having lunch at the George Hotel.

The plan is to leave Chesterfield at 10am and start the walk from Alport at 10.30am, arriving Youlgrave at 1pm. We’ll aim to finish lunch by 2.30pm, walk back to the cars by 3pm and be back in Chesterfield for 3.30pm.

The walk is through two of the most beautiful of the limestone dales in the Peak District. Those not keen on walking can join us for lunch in the village, which boasts the world’s smallest detached house.
