During her time at Stratagia, Crystal has conducted statistical analysis on Labour Force Survey data in order to replicate and update statistics provided to SFEDI on small business enterprises. She has also coded into SPSS a survey constructed on behalf of SFEDI and the National Enterprise Academy, to assess the level of interest of young people in an entrepreneurial apprenticeship. Recently she has constructed the database and produced statistics for a report on the level of interest in an HNC course at Halesowen College, contributing to the report statistics and graphical representation of student responses. Crystal has also conducted analysis and manipulation of the datasets from surveys conducted for the Design Council.

As well as studying quantitative research methods during her time in higher education Crystal has also applied this approach in studies such as the Analysis of the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute, the National Visual Arts Survey and the National Youth and Family Needs Assessment. They included designing and analysing the data from survey questionnaires, conducting in-depth interviews, facilitating focus groups and training other interviewers.

Finally Crystal is accredited as an Approved Researcher for analysis of data archive micro data and is also a member of the Social Research Association.
