Jackie has been associated with the work of Stratagia for several years and joined the company as an employee in early October 2008. She spent sixteen years of her early career as a lecturer in FE gaining extensive expertise in both developing and delivering a wide range of post-16 vocational and adult learning courses. She subsequently worked as Quality Assurance Co-ordinator in the Open College Network and as a Progression Coordinator for the Birmingham, Black Country and Solihull Lifelong Learning Network .
At the Open College Network Jackie managed a quality team and has considerable experience of developing and implementing quality assurance arrangements for local and national vocational and academic qualifications, including compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies. Jackie has been very successful at working collaboratively with Senior Managers and practitioners in the education, public and voluntary sectors.
In her consultancy role at Stratagia, Jackie has co-developed and delivered technical workshops on writing QCF units to support capacity building within the SSCs and awarding organisations. She has considerable experience and expertise in writing units and contributed to several QCF test and trial projects, including with CACHE, SFEDI, BIFM and CWDC. She has subsequently written QCF units against a range of NOS and pre-existing professional qualifications. Jackie has reviewed and provided feedback on QCF units on behalf of QCDA, SSCs and others. She has delivered Unit Writing Workshops for QCDA and CCEA and is currently an associate with FAB, facilitating on their QCF readiness programme.
