ICT – Useful resources
At Stratagia, we are of course users of IT as well as consultants, and we know about software and systems which sometimes feel like well-kept secrets! Here are some of the applications we use on a regular basis, and why:
- WordPress, a blogging and content management system. This is the software we use to run this website, and over the last five years or so it has really taken off: it’s now used by 12% of the top 1,000,000 biggest sites on the web. With an array of plugins and additional functionality, there’s very little you can’t do with WordPress – and if somehow it can’t do something you need, because it’s open source you can modify it (like we do!) to make it work how you want!
- Indefero is the software project management suite we use internally. Our projects use the “git” revision control system, and this works extremely well with Indefero: we can track issues and keep documentation with the project without having to spend a lot of time administrating the system. We use it hosted on our servers; however, it’s also possible to buy the service directly from the company that writes it.
