RESEARCH – Useful resources
On-line surveys
To find out more about web survey methodology and the impact of new technologies on surveys visit the WebSM website at http://www.websm.org/ . The site is maintained by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Science, Centre for Methodology and Informatics.
Realism – bridging the methodological divide
Research need not be an irreconcilable struggle between developing idiosyncratic in-depth insights and general, broad-based statements. For practical introductions on how realist approaches can meet this challenge look at Method in Social Science: A Realist Approach by Andrew Sayer and Realistic Evaluation by Ray Pawson and Nick Tilley.
The Critical Realism in Action Group holds regular seminars at different venues around the country; e-mail us for the latest details.
