We’re working with SFEDI and partners to develop a new offer for smaller firms for UKCES as part of the Autumn re-launch of Investors in People.

UKCES have commissioned SFEDI to develop a revised Investors in People (IIP) offer for small and medium-sized enterprises. This will form part of a re-launch of IIP in Autumn 2011. We have already developed a mini website for the project which you can find at http://betterbusiness.stratagia.co.uk. This will be updated to provide the latest information about the project and host consultative questionnaires. The project will include a review of existing evidence on business improvement and people development and management in SMEs, consultation with stakeholders and IIP Centres during April and then consultation with businesses and business organisations through to July.

There are new National Occupational Standards for the Career Development sector! We have recently completed a project for LLUK to produce the Standards and exemplar job profiles that cover all-age career and educational information, advice and guidance and employability support.

Stratagia worked with Lifelong Learning UK to produce new National Occupational Standards and example job profiles for individuals working within all-age advice and guidance throughout the UK. The aim of this work was to develop fit-for-purpose NOS for the sector to enhance and support the skills of the advice and guidance workforce.

In order to inform this work, we consulted with the career guidance sector by:

participating in Steering and Working Groups

facilitating nation-wide focus groups

collecting job descriptions and person specifications

providing an online, interactive facility for completion of a questionnaire and feedback on specific draft NOS

Further information and products of this work can be found at:
