MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
Developing managers ready for greater responsibility.
DEVELOP THE LEADERS YOUR ORGANISATION WILL RELY ON NEXT
Practical. Personal. Built for the realities of senior leadership.
Moving into more senior leadership is a significant shift. Success is no longer defined by how well you manage your own responsibilities. It increasingly depends on your judgement, your ability to influence others, how you lead through complexity and change, and your ability to think beyond the immediate demands of your role.
The Management Development Programme is designed for experienced middle and senior managers ready to make that shift. Combining practical development, psychometric insight and individual coaching, the programme challenges participants to understand themselves more deeply, broaden how they think and strengthen the capabilities they need to lead at a higher level.

BENEFITS FOR THE LEARNER
The Management Development Programme is designed to help experienced managers move beyond managing activity and strengthen their impact as leaders. By completing the programme, participants will:
Understand themselves at a deeper level
Use psychometric insight to understand strengths, preferences, behaviours and how these influence others.
Strengthen leadership judgement
Develop the confidence to assess situations, consider different perspectives and make better decisions when the answer isn't obvious.
Lead courageous conversations
Approach difficult conversations with greater clarity and confidence, balancing challenge, empathy and the outcome required.
Lead people through change
Understand how people experience change and strengthen the leadership behaviours needed to create clarity, engagement and momentum.
Develop others through coaching
Move beyond providing answers and use coaching skills to challenge thinking, build ownership and develop capability in others.
Increase emotional intelligence
Build greater awareness of your own emotions and those of others, and understand how this affects relationships, communication and leadership impact.
Think more strategically
Step beyond immediate operational priorities, consider the wider organisation and translate strategic thinking into purposeful action.
Every participant leaves with a stronger understanding of themselves as a leader and a clearer view of how they want to lead as their responsibilities grow.

WHY MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT MATTERS
The skills that make someone a successful operational manager are not necessarily the skills they need as their responsibilities increase.
More senior roles require leaders to step back from the detail, lead through others, navigate competing priorities, influence across boundaries and make decisions where there may be no obvious answer.
Without that transition, capable managers can remain too involved in day-to-day delivery, become the solution to every problem and struggle to create the capacity needed for themselves — and their people — to grow.
The Management Development Programme creates deliberate time and challenge for managers to make that transition.

MODULES OVERVIEW

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGHOUT
The six modules provide structure, but the programme is deliberately personal. Participants bring their own leadership experiences, challenges and ambitions into the programme.
Facet5 and EQ-i psychometric insight, individual coaching, practitioner challenge and reflection help each person make sense of the learning and decide how it should influence their own leadership. We don't expect every participant to leave thinking or leading in exactly the same way.
We want them to leave with stronger foundations, greater self-awareness and the judgement and confidence to lead effectively at the next level.
